Question 38
How does this fit with the wildfire code we already adopted?
That code governs the outside of the house – roofs, vents, siding, glazing, shrubbery, defensible space, and more. By the code’s own scope, it does not reach the interior. A jurisdiction that has adopted a wildfire code has already done the harder half of this work. Residential sprinklers are the easier and necessary next step.
