Question 5
What does a fire cost us if we do nothing?
In Arvada, for example, where the sprinkler system averages $8,892, the average fire loss is $55,033.56 – more than six times the cost of the system. Neither figure counts irreplaceable belongings, lost wages, or somewhere to live while the house is rebuilt. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) puts average property loss per home fire 55% lower where sprinklers are present. Applied to Arvada’s average, that’s roughly $30,000 in loss avoided per fire.
